2022 Holiday Gift Guides Day 3 - “For the Hostess / Host”

I once took one of those Myers-Briggs tests only to find what everyone already knew to be true - I’m an OFF THE CHART extrovert who loves the company of others and entertaining.

I have a ton of goodies for entertaining I’ve collected over the years — from books, to trinkets to pretty things and beyond. This list includes some of my favorites as well as a few personal wish list items I’m eyeing for this holiday season. I hope you find some items that spark joy for you or a loved one!

GIFT GUIDE DAY 3: FOR THE HOSTESS / HOST

Glass & Wood Cloche

I am OBSESSED with cloches. I have too many. This serving cloche with wooden board is so beautiful with the etched plaid pattern. Begging to be filled with Christmas cookies or cakes.

I discovered Lafco candles and diffusers years ago when I dined at Per Se. They had the “Celery & Thyme” scented candle burning in the bathroom. Obviously I tipped it slightly to see who made it and promptly ordered one at home. For winter I suggest the Feu de Bois scent (ski house). I’ve come to like diffusers more than candles. Yes, they cost more but I think they last 5x as long! And no burning down the house!

Cheese Knives (Varied Below)

You’d be surprised how many people don’t own a set of cheese knives. Plus, did you know it’s bad luck to buy your own knives? Different knives work best for different jobs. This Laguoile set is great for softer cheeses but this set by Zwilling is designed to handle cutting through semi-hard cheeses and rind.

Throw in some Bee’s Wrap Cheese Wrappers and a nice local jar of jam or honey that pairs well with cheese while you’re at it!

Someone gave me this adorable book years ago and by fashion designer Lela Rose and in addition to serving as a gorgeous cocktail book, it has really fun ideas. She’s coming out with an outdoor entertaining book this spring, too! You can preorder it now.

Up your bottle of wine gift giving by adding a pretty + functional set of wine markers.

These cute cocktail napkins can be monogrammed with a variety of cute colors. They’re sold individually so you can add as many as you like.

Planted Bulbs + Containers

I’ve been gifted paper whites and amaryllis bulbs in gorgeous containers before and it’s always a welcome gift that keeps giving for months. Here’s my pick for a great pairing:
Bulbs + Containers

I NEVER have enough quality dinner napkins. I used to buy sets of 4 and now I have a family of 5 and then when you entertain — poof! All of a sudden you need 10. Mixing and matching is great but the best ones you can use and bleach are classic white. I love these Fasano napkins that you can order as many as 12 and they feature adorable tassels
